WP4 - Statistical Analyses

To dissect out the genes involved in the end stage of clotting and stroke using a variety of statistical genetic techniques – the first aim will be to provide significant QTLs from a linkage analysis of end-stage clotting factors. The second aim will be to find an association with selected candidate genes and SNPs or haplotypes arising from the QTL regions. Thirdly we aim to validate them for thrombotic stroke and explore any geographical or environmental interactions.
